20 days, 19 hours, 26 minutes and 46 seconds
In-Game Name: Ian Syns
How much time can you dedicate to this position?: about 8-10 hours daily.
Do you have a functional microphone?: Yes.
Do you use Teamspeak?: Yes.
Do you fully understand our rules?: Yes.
Have you been banned from GGS.sx before?: Yes, stated on previous application.
Have you either previously applied for staff or been staff on GGS.SX?: Yes.
If so, what happened?: I got demoted for me being a fuck head late at night, probably stated on the Trello.
Are you currently staff on any other Garry's Mod server?: No.
Do you have any previous experience as a staff member?: Yes.
If so, what?: Too much experience to note.
Why should we choose you as a staff member rather than someone else?: I believe with the knowledge I have with ULX can help me be a great moderator, and I know and re-read the rules every week just to make sure I know if a rule has been updated. I was previously a staff member on GGS.sx but I got demoted due to me being stupid late at night with "Preacher". I know now that even if the person doesn't care it is absolutely un-acceptable and I can ensure this will never happen again. I usually get called to admin sits where at points some of the current staff member don't know some of the updated rules which I really think they should be reading to make sure they don't accuse or punish someone who hasn't broken a rule, I believe it may also be a good asset as I am extremely active due to me not having a life. In admin sits I am quick to the point making sure not to hold up anyones roleplay experience on the server, and I am on late at night at there tends to be alot of rules breakers which then usually get away with it due to this.
Any recommendations from other staff members?: N/A
Scenario 1: You get a report that someone RDM’d another user, how would you handle the situation?: I would first start off with asking the person who called the Admin Ticket to see if they could provide any proof, if so I would ask them to upload it to a Video Viewing website/application. I would watch the video and I would inform the player who was at fault and warn the player.
If no evidence was available from the claimer, I would ask the "Offender" if he has any evidence to support his claims, if not I would look into the "Offender's" warn history to see if he has any previous warns on RDM or others thing, I would then spectate the "offender" to see if they would repeat or break any other rules.
Scenario 2: You see 2 players constantly metagaming, you’ve warned them twice already and they are still doing it, what would you do in this situation?:
I would kick them both for Metagaming and re-warn them both, I will inform them before kicking them that I will ban them if they wish to continue by breaking the Metagame rule.
Scenario 3: You see someone flinging props around and prop flying, how would you handle this?: I would freeze the player and I will check his warns to see if he has been warned for it prior, if not I would give him a verbal warning and inform him it would be a Warning and possible a kick of the severity.
